Memoir Of A Mosquito 'Buzzing, swooping, and stinging. That's all we seem to do.' A dying mosquito thought as it buzzed and swooped lazily down a rural road. Each passing moment the mosquito seemed to set slower and slower, even it's obnoxious buzzing seemed to soften. This particular mosquito was on its last wings. You see, mosquitoes have an excitingly boring life. First, they are born from larvae. Once they're fully-grown, their life-goal is to land, sting, then go lay more eggs. It may sound boring, and to tell you the truth, it is.Memoir Of A Mosquito by ~Garretonfire
This mosquito in particular was becoming closer and closer with the end of its life. The mosquito hadn't bit anyone in a while,

The Last Battle Frigid, blowing air cut through skin like a knife. Scores of people stood huddled together, trying their best to fend off Mother Nature's best attempts to deter them from their goal. The small area that they were all huddled in was as tense as the final minutes of a murder trial. Impatient, shady characters checked the time more often then usual; waiting for the minute that would begin to decide their immediate future. Even though most of them looked calm and collected, there was a vicious tiger lurking deep inside of them; waiting until the sign that allowed it to break free. The Last Battle by ~Garretonfire

The Depressed Pessimist "I'm a complete, total, and utter failure." Alex said as he lay in the brown, leather chair in the silent psychologist's room. He was looking up at the ceiling blankly; still irritated that he was forced by his worried parents to come to this stupid, pointless meeting. The Depressed Pessimist by ~Garretonfire
"C'mon now, Alex! That's nonsense! You're one of the most successful people I've ever had the opportunity to meet!" the shrink replied almost happily.
Alex couldn't see the man who he was talking to, but he knew what he was doing. He was scratching nonsensical notes in his pointless clipboard about irrelevant characteristics of his pessimistic client. Alex could sense it; and

The Most Unexpected Weather "Beep. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeep." The broken alarm clock sounded. It had been in disrepair for a few years, but Ben, the owner, had been too lazy to replace it. The time always varied by about three or four minutes and the fourth beep always droned on and on, until he was forced to wake up and turn it off. It always reminded him of a hospital monitor, and the last, unwavering beep was a painful reminder of how dead he felt every morning. Ben rolled over to face the clock, and squinted at the large red numbers. Unfortunately, they read 6:45; time to get up. Ben turned to a sitting position, and hit his clock to turn off the alarm. The Hunt Gasping for breath, Andy stumbled through the pitch-black darkness that surrounded him. His going was slow as he bumped into obstacles that only minimized the gap between the hunter and it's prey. Only minutes had passed since he was able to see and speak before the friendly scene had turned into a cruel game of cat and mouse in the blink of an eye. Barely daring to squint behind him to try and catch a glimpse of his pursuer, Andy felt his way deeper and deeper into the depths of his environment. The Hunt by ~Garretonfire
Finally, after what had seemed like an eternity of stumbling and groping in the darkness, he had found what he was searching for. Slowly and quietl
